Esker House to raise awareness in Athlone about domestic violence

Esker House Domestic Abuse Support Service is to raise awareness for victims of domestic violence on their Athlone Community Awareness Day, taking place tomorrow October 16.

The service is asking people to “break the silence of domestic violence” with its #SafeAtHomeAthlone online campaign.

People are being asked to speak about Esker House services, donate to the cause online at www.eskerhouse.ie or to organise a fundraiser of their own.

Esker House provides temporary safe accommodation for women and their children and general support and information for women experiencing domestic abuse.

The service can be contacted on its 24 hour helpline on 09064 74122.
