St Mary’s NS choir and Knights feature on RTÉ’s Angelus
A 50-strong choir from St. Mary's Primary School in Athlone has joined forces with the Knights of St Columbanus to produce a short film clip for the RTÉ People's Angelus.
The clip aired for the first time on Friday evening last at 6pm on RTÉ 1, and will continued every Friday for the month of December.

The beautiful clip features the St Mary's Choir singing Christmas carols outside St Mary's Church in Athlone while members of the Knights build the Church Crib step by step.
The local primary school choir were under the watchful eye of their teachers, Nessa McLoughlin, Noelle Lee and Hilary Roche, while Peter Agbanobi, Sean Leydon and Ray Joyce also feature in the RTE clip as they put the finishing touches to the St. Mary's Church Crib.
This is a very exciting project for the student body and teachers at St Mary's Primary School who were honoured to have been chosen for the People's Angelus on RTE and also for the local members of the Knights of Columbanus.
The 50-strong primary students, parents and friends and also the Knights will be tuning in to RTE 1 at 6pm each Friday evening throughout the month of December to see the fruits of their labours on the People's Angelus.
