Special council meeting on wind farm plan
The contents of a report from Westmeath County Council to An Bord Pleanála as part of its adjudication on an application for a windfarm in the Moyvoughley/Drumraney/Ballymore area will be discussed at a special meeting of the council on Monday next.
A planning application for the Umma More Renewable Energy Development windfarm was lodged with An Bord Pleanála last month. It would consist of nine 185-metre high turbines.
Members of the council will have an opportunity to consider the report of the Chief Executive, Pat Gallagher on the application, to voice their views on the proposed development, to have them relayed to the planning board and to resolve, if necessary, to attach recommendations to the CE’s report.
