Murray honoured with two end of season awards
Niall Murray was honoured with two awards at the Connacht Rugby Awards on Saturday, May 20. The end-of-season gala was held in front of nearly 600 guests at the Galmont Hotel in Galway.
The Buccaneers clubman took home the ‘Try of the Year’ award for his try against Benetton. He also won the 'Fans Favourite' trophy, which was voted for by the public.
These honours come after a splendid season for the 23-year-old from Brideswell, who was also recently named on the United Rugby Championship Elite XV for the current season.
Murray has made 56 senior appearances for the province and he was one of three players who featured in the documentary “Relentless – The Connacht Way”. Niall's brother Darragh is also a member of the Connacht senior squad.
Many congratulations to Niall on his richly deserved accolades.
