Free shuttle bus from town for this year's Athlone Agri Show

Cathaoirleach Cllr Aengus O’Rourke officially launched the 2023 Athlone Agri Show at an event in the Bounty last Thursday night. There was a large crowd in attendance.

Chairman John Dolan addressed the meeting by welcoming the large crowd and especially the sponsors which he thanked for their ongoing support for the show.

He also thanked Michael Donoghue for providing the land for the show and the wonderful, hardworking committee who put the show together.

Cllr Aengus O'Rourke then addressed the meeting, saying that he was honoured to be asked to officially launch this year’s show and that he loves attending the show himself.

He went on to praise the committee for their hard work and he wished the show all the best and hopes for a dry day for this year’s show.

This years Athlone Show takes place on Sunday, June in Garnafailagh on Michael Donoghue’s farm from 9.30 am.

A free shuttle bus service will be running from Golden Island shopping Centre every hour on the hour, starting at 11am with the last bus back to town at 6pm. A pick-up will also be made at the Fair Green bus stop.
