Top five place in world final
The Marist ‘F1 in School’ team, Team Catalyst, placed an amazing fifth overall in the ‘F1 in Schools’ World Final in Singapore. Live updates from the team, showed just how high of a standard the competition was. Out of 68 teams from across the globe, Team Catalyst managed to grab that top five finish in recognition of all their hard work over the last number of months.
Adam Kenny was also awarded 2nd place in the ‘Nose Cone Speed Challenge’. This challenge is similar to a pit stop where the front of the car is changed, and Adam managed to achieve this in 2 seconds. This was just 0.22 of a second behind the winner from Romania.
The Marist delegation had a meeting with the Irish Ambassador of Singapore and had the opportunity to showcase the research and development of their engineering.
The group now looks forward to attending the Singapore Grand Prix, another fantastic opportunity awarded to World Finalists.
