Athlone-area schools cheering on students in international sporting action
Local secondary schools Our Lady's Bower, Coláiste Chiaráin and Moate Community School have been sending their best wishes this week to students competing internationally in taekwondo and kickboxing.
On social media yesterday and today, the three schools passed on their well-wishes to students in action in Spain and Italy.
Our Lady's Bower wished the best of luck to fifth year Hannah Heneghan, who is representing Team Ireland in the European championship with Athlone Taekwondo Club.
Hannah is competing in the Individual Pattern Sparring and Team Sparring for Team Ireland in Madrid, and her school told her, "Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh - enjoy the experience!"

The two Coláiste Chiaráin students competing at the event are Cyra Shine (5th Year LCA) and Alice Caiffa (1st Year).
