Gardai investigating sudden death

Gardai are investigating a sudden death in Athlone last night.

The body of a woman in her 30s was discovered outside a house at Grace Park Road on the Leinster side of the town at 9.15pm.

The area has been sealed off and a large number of officers were at the scene this morning.

A post mortem is due to take place in the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

Gardai said investigations are continuing into the sudden death.
