Taoiseach welcomes Gab to the Dáil

Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, joined by members of the Fine Gael parliamentary party, welcomed Athlone’s new TD, Gabrielle McFadden, to Leinster House today.

Accompanied by her husband Bryan, and extended family, Gabrielle was met by her party colleagues on the plinth for her first day in the Dáil.

Deputy McFadden was elected in the Longford/Westmeath by-election at the weekend, which was held to fill the seat left vacant by the untimely death of her sister, Nicky, from motor neuron disease a short time ago.
