Rossies' unchanged for Connacht decider

Comments (0) | Print | Email

Roscommon manager Fergal O'Donnell has kept faith with the side that defeated Leitrim for Sunday's Connacht SFC final against Sligo.

The Rossies saw off the Ridge County on a 1-13 to 0-11 scoreline and O'Donnell has resisted the temptation for change. David O'Gara and Kevin Higgins both made substitute appearances in the second half, but have been kept in reserve once again.

Roscommon are bidding to claim their first Nestor Cup since 2001 when ironically O'Donnell captained them to a dramatic win over Mayo, and will once again be looking to under 21 star Donie Shine to shoot them victory after he bagged 1-7 in the semi-final.

Roscommon (SF v Sligo): G Claffey; S McDermott, P Domican (captain), S Ormsby; S Purcell, C Dineen, D Casey; M Finneran, K Mannion; D Keenan, P Garvey, C Cregg; J Rogers, D Shine, G Heneghan.
