Boat Club to hold Hallowe'en Fancy Dress fundraiser

Comments (0) | Print | Email

Athlone Boat Club is holding a special fundraiser on Hallowe'en night, Saturday, October 31, in Sean's Bar and The Castle Inn.

The Fancy Dress night is designed to raise money to help refurbish one of the club's rowing boats, which is used for double sculls.

Specialised rowing boats tend to be expensive and the club couldn't afford to purchase new boats.

Mark Egan of the club said there would be a number of raffles held in the pubs on the night. He encouraged supporters and friends of the club to don their fancy dress costumes and to join in the fun.
