Cork star in the making set for Passionfruit date

Gifted Cork singer/songwriter Bill Coleman is coming to Athlone"s Passionfruit Theatre this Friday night, July 18 for what promises to be a great night of acoustic-based folk and rock. Coleman"s album "I"ll Tear My Own Walls Down", was released in early 2007 and showcases his evident songwriting talents as well as his wonderful voice, especially on songs such as the lead single, "Offer Up The Hope". Since releasing an EP in 2003, Coleman has been touring the length and breadth of Ireland, bringing with him a set of gorgeous bittersweet tracks, building a fan base the good old fashioned way. He was invited to perform at In The City, the international music showcase, in Manchester and also took a slot at Hard Working Class Heroes "05. He was chosen by Tom Dunne for an Artist Rising place on Pet Sounds and also made two appearances on TG4"s Deis Rock show. Irish music community site irishmusiccentral.com have tipped Coleman as one to watch in the near future.
