Passionfruit Theatre welcomes singer-songwriter

Gifted singer-songwriter Martin Hutchinson is on his way to Athlone"s Passionfruit Theatre this Saturday, April 18, at 8.30pm. "This Time" is the title of Kildare man Hutchinson"s fourth release, performed with just his acoustic guitar and voice and you can hear exactly why in the Passionfruit this weekend. Hutchinson, now residing in Holland, has made a living teaching guitar and later at the "Rotterdam Conservatorium" he did a course in band coaching, which he put into practice by giving workshops. All this time Hutch remained playing in bands, the most popular being Homesick and the Backstabbers. They released two CDs and toured extensively. Then Hutchinson finally found time to do what he always wanted to do: he started his own band. The first CD "Loosing Ground" soon followed. January 1999 saw the release of "Now Tell Me", and there has been no looking back since. "Water from a Stone" is his latest offering and with it Hutchinson treats us to 14 new songs and guest appearances from top Irish and Dutch musicians. Tickets are priced at €15.
