Moate Partnership group hears of opportunities

The Moate Partnership Group Dinner Dance was a huge success last Saturday night in the Grand Hotel, Moate. With great music from one Ireland's top bands 'Mercury' and winners of the All Ireland Junior Scór; the Moate All Whites, it was a night not to be missed. Supermac's MD Pat McDonagh was guest speaker on the night. Pat said he had fond memories of Moate from his days in the Carmelite College and he was delighted to be in Moate tonight for this great event. He also spoke of the need for co-operation, that businesses should pull together in these tough financial times and the great opportunity that is in the pipeline and it is up to everyone to grasp this chance. He called for more signage for the town on the N6 and he also mentioned the need for off street parking and for all staff and business people to use the off street parking. Also on the night there was the launch of the new Moate Partnership Group website www.moate.ie, which was designed by Tom Browne and his company saddleyerhorse.com. Everything that is possible to be put on the site will be on it from businesses to clubs. All that is Moate will be on the website. Moate Partnership also confirmed this week that RTÉ has agreed to record the St Patrick's Day parade in Moate and said it is a great opportunity for all businesses to pull together for St Patrick's Day.
