Athlone Town 'keeper to wed Irish beauty

PAT Jennings, who played in goal for Athlone Town last season, has become engaged to one of Ireland's leading models. Jennings, who looks unlikely to remain with Athlone next season, popped the question recently to long-time girlfriend, Sarah Morrissey (29), a former Miss Ireland and leading model with the Assets Agency. The Liberties native said 'Yes' to Jennings, also a personal fitness trainer, during a recent shopping spree in New York. Before joining Athlone Town last season, Jennings also played with Derry City, Sligo Rovers and Shamrock Rovers. However, his contract with the Town expired at the end of last season, and it seems new manager Roddy Collins is looking elsewhere for a new netminder, despite Jennings showing good form for the most the 2012 season. Jennings, who has dated Sarah for six years, is the son of famous former Northern Ireland goalkeeper Pat Jennings Snr.
