Water outages reported in Monksland area of Athlone

A watermain burst has resulted in water outages in the Monksland area of Athlone today (Thursday). 

Roscommon County Council said that the water outage has affected consumers in the Monksland and Roosky areas of Athlone.

The watermain burst was reported this morning.

Work is underway to repair the burst and the local authority said it was hopeful that a full supply would return to the affected areas this afternoon.
