Athlone hope for Good Friday victory

Athlone Town play host to Salthill Devon tonight (Good Friday) hoping to secure their first home win of the season in the Airtricity League First Division.

Roddy Collins's side are unbeaten in their three outings to date, but have yet to win on home soil having drawn with both Mervue Utd and Cobh Ramblers in Lissywollen to date this season.

Salthill Devon, on the other hand, have yet to register a point, but under the management of Athlone native Tony Mannnion will be sure to be focused on ending that run tonight.

Athlone will be without captain Aidan Collins through injury and left-sided player Barry Clancy through suspension but Jonathan Kelty is available again having missed last week's draw with Cobh Ramblers.

Local favourite Noel McGee may also be in contention for a place in the match day squad of 17, having yet to feature this campaign.

Kick off in Lissywollen tonight (Good Friday) is 7.45pm
