Athlone Towncentre partners with Galway Races
The midlands’ leading fashion destination has teamed up with the Galway Races to offer one lucky lady a €1,000 shop and stay prize. The winner receives a €500 shopping spree in Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre, where she can choose from over 60 top stores, as well as a luxurious hotel and spa break in the exquisite Sheraton Athlone Hotel.
Renowned racing fashion expert, stylist and regular contributor on RTÉ Racing, Marietta Doran will lead the judging panel at the 'Friday’s Fair Lady’ event, assisted by Athlone Towncentre’s resident personal shopper and stylist Delilah.
Speaking at the launch of the event, Marietta expressed her excitement at being involved at the inaugural Friday’s Fair Lady at the Galway Races.
“The Galway Races Summer Festival holds a very special place in the hearts of fashionistas the length and breadth of the country and the introduction of Friday’s Fair Lady, sponsored by Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre, is a fantastic addition to the week. I’m always blown away by the style at the Galway Races and as part of Friday’s Fair Lady I’ll be looking for a lady who is effortlessly stylish, who knows how to create a look to suit herself and who isn’t afraid to introduce high street labels – it’s all about being confident in yourself and in your look.”
Marietta and her team of fashion scouts will be in attendance at the Ballybrit track from 4pm on Friday, August 2, to carefully study the style trackside ahead of announcing the winner after the fourth race.
The winner will be chosen from five finalists selected by the judges on the day. Each finalist receives a runner up voucher courtesy of Born Clothing and Coast at Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre.
