Athlone sex assault accused set for Longford court

A 30-year-old man is due to appear in Longford District Court this morning in connection with an investigation into sexual assaults on two young girls in Athlone over the weekend.

It follows an extensive Garda investigation into an incident in the town on Saturday afternoon.
