Spurs legend King to launch local supporters club
TOTTENHAM Hotspur legend Ledley King is due to visit Athlone later in the month to help officially launch the new Athlone Spurs Supporters Club.
The Athlone Spurs will become Tottenham Hotspur’s 100th official Supporters Club when it’s launched on a special afternoon at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel Athlone on Sunday, March 30.
The event - tagged as ‘Irish Spurs Day’ by Tottenham Hotspur FC - will start at 2pm when Spurs hero and club ambassador, Ledley King, holds a Q&A session. This will be followed with a screening of Tottenham’s away match against Liverpool (kick-off 4pm). There will be a chance to win a signed football, signed pennant and VIP stadium tour of White Hart Lane in a raffle. Tottenham Hotspur have already extended an open invitation to all Spurs fans throughout Ireland to attend the event in Athlone.
