Argos athlone to recruit ten seasonal workers

Argos in Athlone is planning to recruit ten seasonal workers in the run up to the peak Christmas shopping season.
The high street retailer announced today that it is recruiting 500 seasonal workers in the Republic of Ireland for the Christimas period, ten of whom will be based at the Athlone store.
Extra customer advisors will be joining existing Argos staff to ensure thousands of wish lists are fulfilled in time for the big day. With toys, video games, tablets and phones expected to be popular with customers this year.
As well as in-house training, new team members will receive competitive rates of pay and immediate benefits of 10% staff discount at Argos to help with Christmas shopping. Contracts for the customer advisor roles are for part-time positions until the end of the Christmas period.
 Operations Manager Argos Republic of Ireland, Andy McClelland, said: “As we approach our busiest shopping period of the year, we need the extra support in our stores to ensure that we can deliver great service to the hundreds of thousands of customers who shop with us at this time. We are looking for people who are customer focused, passionate and enthusiastic to join our teams.”
Successful applicants can gain valuable and transferable skills via Argos’ Open Door training system. This enables them to work through retail training modules at work, on the move or from the comfort of their own home using their smartphone, tablet or PC.
