Some sunshine on the way

It might feel more like winter than summer at the moment, but fear not there is some sunshine on the way later this week.
Later in the week we can expect temperatures of 17 and 18 degrees locally, with some bright, sunny spells, according the Met Éireann.
Today will be mostly dry and cloudy, with some occasional showers this afternoon.
Tomorrow there will be better sunshine overall, with temperatures reaching 15 degrees in Westmeath and 16 degrees in Roscommon.
Wednesday and Thursday will be dry with light easterly winds and good spells of sunshine. Temperatures will reach 17 degrees on Wednesday and 18 degrees on Thursday in Westmeath, while Roscommon will enjoy highest temperatures of 18 degrees and 19 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Over the weekend the weather is to remain settled across the country, but if you’re planning to head to the south of the country on Friday, you can expect the occasional heavy/thunder shower.
And things are really looking up as Met Éireann reports that next week is still looking settled.
