Athlone company donates to Simon

An Athlone-based recruitment company has demonstrated the true meaning of Christmas by donating money set aside for client gifts to the local Simon Community instead.

Collins McNicholas decided to go one step further with their spirit of generosity this year by also donating their annual Kris Kindle gifts to the Simon Community charity shop.

“In light of the homeless issue in the country at the moment, this Christmas Collins McNicholas HR & Recruitment Group have decided to donate our Christmas gift fund to The Simon Community nationally in support of their efforts to prevent the problem from worsening, said Mary Mullin, Collins McNicholas Midlands Regional Manager.

“We believe that the homeless crisis in Ireland requires as much support as possible and therefore I hope that you can appreciate us putting the money behind this cause rather than on client gifts” added Mary.

Simon Community was one of Collins McNicholas’ Charity Partners in 2017 and the group has raised more than €2,250 to support their efforts.
