Local students preparing for tomorrow's start to Leaving and Junior Certificate

MORE than 1,400 students are starting their Leaving Certificate examinations in Westmeath tomorrow, Wednesday.

In total, 757 females and 661 males are taking the state examination across the county. In Roscommon, a total of 546 students are sitting the Leaving Certificate; 297 females and 249 males. 
1,500 students are taking the Junior Cert in Westmeath, with 558 in Roscommon. 
Nationally, 120,967 candidates will commence the Leaving and Junior Certificate examinations tomorrow morning.
The Leaving Certificate will run until Friday, June 22, while the Junior Certificate will finish on Wednesday, June 20.
