Music, Storytelling and Drama at Tuar Ard Arts Centre this October!

Tuar Ard Arts Centre in Moate have a wide variety of events for all scheduled for this coming October! Local band First Day Lions will host their only Pre-Album launch night at Tuar Ard this Thursday 24th October, and on Friday 25th October, comedian Jon Kenny will perform in his stunning new play “Crowman”, where he plays numerous characters but primarily Dan, a man in his fifties living alone who is changed by personal news. Tuar Ard’s Film Club will screen “Woman at War”, an acclaimed black comedy, on Tuesday 29th October at 8pm.

On Wednesday 30th October, CreateSchool will bring their Halloween Brick Flicks Stop Motion Workshop to Tuar Ard. Children can learn to make Lego figures come to life with stop motion animation - creating a set, developing a landscape and a storyboard and planning, filming, and producing their own stop motion movie masterpiece. On Thursday 31st October, storyteller Seosamh Ó Maolalaí will be at Tuar Ard for Scary Halloween Storytelling! Seosamh is a storyteller who tells all kinds of stories, but at Halloween he tells scary stories ... really, really scary stories!!
