Details of free Christmas parking arrangements in Athlone

There will be free parking in Westmeath County Council's public car parks in Athlone for eight days in the run-up to Christmas.

Westmeath County Council has confirmed that it will provide shoppers with eight days free parking in all council car parks in Athlone in the run-up to Christmas.

The free parking will run from Tuesday December 17 right through and including Christmas Eve, which is the following Tuesday, December 24.

This does not apply to regular street parking, for which normal paid parking rules apply.
