The River Shannon is continuing to rise today, albeit slowly, after stabilising over night.

Local GAA Derby

 

In sport, Westmeath and Roscommon go into this Sunday’s Allianz Football League Division 2 clash with promotion to the top flight still a realistic target for both sides.

The teams meet at Dr Hyde Park on Sunday (throw-in 2pm – weather permitting) and it looks like the result will have a major bearing on how the remainder of the campaign pans out.
