Man arrested after Ballinasloe incident

Gardaí in Ballinasloe have arrested a man arising from an altercation which occurred in the town yesterday, Sunday, March 22, in which three people were injured.
The altercation took place at approximately 7pm in the Brackernagh area of the town where three men, all aged in their 20s, received stab wounds.

All three attended at Portiuncula Hospital for treatment. Two remain in hospital, where they are receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
One man, aged 20, has been arrested and is currently detained at Ballinasloe Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
