Zoom event for local business

Local businesses aiming to try to shift some or all of their activity online are being invited to participate in a Zoom event on Tuesday May 5 at 9am, organised by Deputy Robert Troy.

“This will explain how to go about it, what help is available – including financial help, and will show how businesses can use the web to their advantage,” said Deputy Troy.

“There are two speakers: Christine Charlton, who is CEO of the Westmeath LEO (Local Enterprise Office), and Joe O’Connor, the campaign director for the Fórsa trade union, who is the co-founder of the Doorstep Market, which is an online marketplace just set up recently as a not-for-profit venture.”

Ms Charlton will outline the range of grants and supports for businesses going online and Mr O’Connor will explain how to make a success of going online and explain how local businesses can get involved in the online marketplace.
