Met Éireann issues warning of heavy rain and flooding risk

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for heavy rain with the risk of localised flooding for thirteen counties, including Westmeath and Roscommon, for tomorrow (Wednesday).

The weather warning, which was issued at 1pm today, comes into effect at 6pm tomorrow evening until 6am on Thursday morning and the affected counties are Cavan, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo, and Westmeath
