Funeral details announced for South Ros' house fire victim Joey Tumulty

The funeral of Joey Tumulty, the father-of-two from South Roscommon who lost his life in a tragic house fire last week, will take place on Friday.

Mr Tumulty and his partner Nuala Kenny were both pronounced dead at the scene of the horrific incident in Gurth na Sharvogue, near Ballydangan, in the early hours of Thursday morning last.

His funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 11 o'clock in St. Mary's Church, Moore, followed by burial in Kilbegly Cemetery.

The funeral cortège will leave his home house at 10.30, en route to the Church. Those who wish to, as a mark of respect, may stand out along the route while maintaining social distance.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and by adhering to government guidelines, Mr Tumulty's funeral is private to family members.

A plasterer by trade, Mr Tumulty had worked part-time for the John Murray agricultural supplies business in Ballinasloe

He was predeceased by his parents, Maureen and Joe, and sisters Rita and Bernie. His death is deeply regretted by his loving daughters Zoe and Millie, brother Paddy, sisters Mary, Joan, Carmel, Anne, Phil and Veronica, their partners, his nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and a wide circle of friends.

The funeral of Nuala Kenny will take place tomorrow.
