Funeral details announced for victim of South Roscommon house fire

The funeral of Nuala Kenny, one of the two victims of last Thursday's tragic house fire in South Roscommon, will take place tomorrow (Thursday).

Mass will be celebrated privately for Nuala, with her family, at 11am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church in her native Clonfad. Burial will take place afterwards in Moore Cemetery.

People are asked to respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time, and those who would have liked to attend the funeral but cannot due to current restrictions are asked to leave a personal message for the family in the book of condolences on rip.ie.

A mother of three who was in her forties, she had worked in healthcare, as a care assistant, and was renowned for her friendly personality and caring nature.

"She had a really good way about her and was always in good form, and up for a chat every time you met her. She was just a lovely, thoughtful, and caring person," said one local resident this week.

Predeceased by her mum Rosaleen, twin brother Fergal and nephew Damien, she will be deeply missed by her sons Daniel, Adam and Evan, their father Paul, her father Martin, her sisters, Bernie, Roisin, and Catherine, brothers, Gerry and Tommie, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The funeral details for her partner Joey Tumulty, who also died in the horrific incident at Gurth na Sharvogue, near Ballydangan, have not yet been announced.
