Well known discount retailer set to open in Monksland

Discount retailer EuroGiant is set to open a second store in the Athlone area this weekend.

A post on the brand's Facebook page today (Friday) has confirmed that the new shop will open in Monksland Retail Park on Saturday, December 4 at 11am.

Boasting over 75 stores in Ireland, EuroGiant promises top brands for less across household goods, toys, stationery, toiletries, partyware and confectionary.

The Irish owned retailer already operates an outlets in Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre, another in Ballinasloe and a large outlet in Roscommon town.

It's unclear as of yet how many new jobs have been created in the new shop in Monksland Retail Park.

The Facebook post earlier today confirming the location of the new shop in Monksland.
