Hair of 'Ireland's Fittest Family' finalist getting the chop for Join Our Boys!

Later this month James Cuddy, a finalist on the 'Ireland's Fittest Family' TV show, will sacrifice his abundant locks in a creative fundraiser for three Roscommon boys who are battling a terminal illness.

James is getting ready for a fundraiser called 'The Fro Must Go', which is due to take place on January 29.

On that date, his hair will be chopped and restyled, with people who make a donation to the fundraiser allowed to vote for 'Mohawk Viking', 'Mullet & Mo', or 'Everything Must Go' outcomes.

The event is designed to support the Naughton brothers Archie (16), George (11), and Isaac (11), who have all been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

DMD is a terminal muscle wasting disease which will eventually impact on the boys’ ability to walk, use their limbs, or even hug the people they love.

The 'Join Our Boys' Trust is building a purpose-built home for their three boys in Roscommon town, and before Christmas a public appeal was launched to raise €300,000 to ensure the house is fully kitted out with the equipment needed to meet the boys’ complex needs.

Since December 6, the Join Our Boys Trust has raised over €200,000 and it is continuing to ask for donations via a dedicated webpage here.

All proceeds from James Cuddy's 'The Fro Must Go' fundraiser will go towards the completion of the house, and you can make your donation and choice of hair style for James here.
