Westmeath represented at National Day of Remembrance

Annette Barr Jordan, an executive with Westmeath County Council, was selected to represent local authority staff around the country who helped out during the Covid pandemic, at a special ceremony held in Dublin recently.

The event was part of a National Day of Remembrance in recognition of the efforts of the public, volunteers and all who worked throughout the pandemic and in remembrance of those who lost their lives to Covid-19.

Speaking at the March meeting of the council, chief executive, Pat Gallagher said he was delighted that Annette was selected to represent local authority staff who worked in the community call response.

Annette represented us with distinction, he stated.

Annette is an administrative officer in the Community Section at Westmeath County Council.
