Foster & Allen lined up for Athlone concert

International recording artists Foster & Allen bring their latest tour to Athlone later this month

The duo will perform at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone, on Sunday, April 24, as they celebrate over 47 years in the music business with their rescheduled Irish tour.

It will be over two years since Mick Foster & Tony Allen last performed live.

Mick and Tony will of course be performing all their hits like “Bunch Of Thyme” (it was 40 years on April 8 that Foster & Allen appeared on Top Of The Pops performing Bunch Of Thyme), Old Flames, Maggie, After All These Years, We Owe It All To You, Mrs. Brown’s Boys, as well as some of their new recordings.

Foster & Allen are currently in studio working on a brand new album which is due for release in October 2022. The album is aptly entitled “We’ll Meet Again” which features their version of the Vera Lynn's classic song as well as other new recordings and some original songs.

Along with Sunday's Athlone date, other local dates include a concert in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Thursday, April 21.
