Brideswell land with 'huge potential' to be sold online

What's described as 59 acres of development land with “huge potential” close to the Athlone to Tuam Road between the villages of Brideswell and Dysart is set to go under the hammer online at the end of this month.

The parcel of land at Curry, Brideswell, Athlone, will go up for sale online on Friday, May 27 next at 2pm on LSL Auctions Platform, with the sole selling agents listed at Connaughton Auctioneers in Athleague.

The holding, just over six miles from the M6 motorway, has huge potential for a quarry due to its location adjacent to an existing quarry, and its location on the main Athlone to Tuam road in a renowned farming district, the marketing documents listed on the daft.ie website points out.

The land is predominantly “good quality” part of which is exposed with rock. It is currently laid out into paddocks for grazing with water serving and a pen/crush standing on the holding, it says in the sale description, adding that the land parcel will be of significant interest to quarry companies, investors and farmers.

The holding is being sold as it stands by private treaty or by public auction on May 27 next. Price is on application for the 59 acres.
