New homes earmarked for Coosan area

A 22-home residential development has been signalled for the Coosan area this week. A published planning notice indicates that a planning application is set to be submitted to Westmeath County Council seeking approval to press ahead with 22 new houses at Glenatore, Clonbrusk.

The three and four bed homes, earmarked for the site by SPDD Properties Ltd, would be arranged in terraced blocks, each containing three and four units. Roads, footpaths, public open space, landscaping, site works and connection to services also form the other elements of the residential project.

The planning notice also states the site was subject to four previous planning applications, the most recent decided in 2020 to complete the existing partially constructred Glenatore residential development was refused approval.

That plan covered the provision of 29 units, a mix of apartments and duplexes in various blocks.
