Glasson Lakehouse nominated for three prestigious wedding awards

One of Ireland's premier wedding venues – Glasson Lakehouse – has been nominated for three prestigious awards in the annual SaveMyDay.ie 2022 wedding awards.

Described as “Westmeath's breathtaking wedding venue” by SaveMyDay.ie, the local venue has been nominated in three categories, namely Ireland's best large hotel wedding venue; Ireland's best outdoor wedding venue and Ireland's best waterside wedding venue.

In the best outdoor wedding category, Glasson Lakehouse faces competition for the coveted award from four other contenders, Ballintubbert Gardens & House in Laois; Ballykealey House in Carlow; Fernhill House Hotel & Gardens in Cork and Dublin-based Orlagh House.

A total of four venues have been nominated for the best waterside wedding award, including the Castle Oaks House Hotel in Limerick; Four Seasons Hotel, Spa and Leisure Club in Louth and Jack's Coastguard Restaurant in Kerry.

Ireland's best large hotel wedding venue is a very hotly-contested category in the SaveMyDay.ie awards with a total of seven venues vying for the top award, including the Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick, Ballyseede Castle Hotel in Kerry; Killashee Hotel in Kildare and two hotels in Kildare, Killashee Hotel and the Osprey.

A total of 47 wedding venues from 19 counties have been nominated in this year's awards, with Shell Holden, co-owner of SaveMyDay.ie saying it showcases “the wonderful range of wedding venues on offer across the country to cater for all couples and their preferred styles.”This year's winners will be selected by a panel of SaveMyDay.ie judges, and a full list of winners in all categories will be announced next month.

All the nominated wedding venues, including Glasson Lakehouse, are profiled on the SaveMyDay.ie website, where couples can connect with any of the venues and enquire about their upcoming nuptials.
