Westmeath craft businesses to feature at showcase event in RDS

Craft and design businesses from Westmeath are among those that will get to meet with buyers from all over the world as part of the Local Enterprise Showcase at the 2023 Showcase event in Dublin's RDS in the coming days (January 22-24).

The event is an initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, and the Westmeath businesses exhibiting at it will include the Athlone-based bespoke jewellery designers Fox & Bell Goldsmiths.

BamBrew, a company which creates eco-friendly lifestyle products, providing alternatives to single use plastics, will also be part of the event, as will Dominic O’Brien, an artist and illustrator based in Westmeath.

Buyers from across the world, including Ireland, the UK, USA, mainland Europe, Asia and Africa, are due to attend the Showcase event in Dublin, which is expected to generate generating millions of euros of sales orders for over 100 companies who will be exhibiting.

"To be exposed to this many high-quality buyers in one place is an incredible opportunity for any business starting out," said Christine Charlton, Head of Enterprise for Westmeath County Council.

"If things go well at this event, a business could fill their book for the year and may well establish a partnership that could extend longer than that and help them grow.

"While that won’t happen for every business, just to be here, see other clients, get new ideas and develop their skills in marketing and sales will stand by them going forward."
