A tiebreak with Castleknock College for second place saw Clodagh O’Brien (6th Year), Josh Oyiki (6th Year) and Charlie Flynn (5th Year) finishing in third place, just one question behind the winning score from Gonzaga College.

The second success for Athlone Community College saw students Bryan Armstrong (6th Year), Leo O’Connell (6th Year) and Conor Doran (5th Year) finish in fourth place.

The Principal and staff of Athlone secondary school are incredibly proud of both teams who achieved 3rd and 4th place in the All-Ireland finals against the best 16 teams from the regional competitions.

"To achieve these heights in an All-Ireland final is truly exceptional" said Athlone Community College Principal, Eileen Donohoe.
