The Yoga Picnic Festival takes place in Lilliput House, on the banks of Lough Ennell.

Yoga Picnic festival returns to Midlands

The Yoga Picnic festival returns to Lilliput House in Westmeath for its second year later this summer.

Ireland’s leading yoga festival has a top-class line up with many great yoga teachers and facilitators participating on July 2nd.

Founded by teachers Alice Harrison, Mary Gardiner and Katy Harrison, the festival on the banks of Lough Ennell features a diverse range of classes for students of all levels.

The stunning natural surroundings make it the perfect location for a festival. It will create the perfect atmosphere for us to connect with nature and deepen yoga practice.

Expect an exciting and vibrant day of yoga, movement, breath-work, meditation, ecstatic dance, and wellness talks, as well as sound-baths, reiki, paddle-board yoga, soulful Kirtan (yoga music concert) and fun-filled, mindful activities for kids—or even just relax in our Driftwood sauna by the lake.

Enjoy a picnic of delicious organic, nourishing food to keep you energised throughout the day. There will also be opportunities to connect with like-minded people, participate in mindfulness activities, and browse our wellness vendors.

With a carefully curated line-up of Ireland's most respected and talented yoga teachers The Yoga Picnic will be a memorable and transformative experience for everybody.

Co-founder Alice Harrison said: "We want to showcase Ireland's incredible yoga teachers at the same time as being a platform for education and awareness about yogic philosophies, wellness, sustainability and the environment."

Our featured yoga teachers include Kitty McGuire, Daniella Moyles, Lou Horgan, Mari Kennedy, Sineád Mooney, Michael Ryan, Benita Wolfe, Erica Bracken, and Jen Healy—all highly respected in the yoga community for their expertise and passion for the practice.

"We believe that by practising yoga and mindfulness in nature, we can connect with the planet on a deeper level and inspire positive change. We hope that The Yoga Picnic Festival will be a model for other events and inspire more people to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives."

The Yoga Picnic has carefully selected vendors and retailers, all of whom offer sustainably sourced, ethically produced products which are good for the environment and locally produced by Irish businesses.
