Applications open for Moate Affordable Purchase housing scheme

Westmeath County Council has announced that the online portal for an Affordable Purchase Scheme at Gort an Locha, Moate, is now live.

Applications for the scheme opened today at 12 noon and will remain open for three weeks until midnight, Wednesday, August 16.

A total of 22 new affordable homes, consisting of 3 and 4 bedroom dwellings, are being made available for sale by Westmeath County Council in the residential development of Gort an Locha, Moate under the Affordable Purchase Scheme in accordance with the Affordable Housing legislation.

The properties are open to people who are First Time Buyers or qualify under the ‘Fresh Start Principle’. Applications will be assessed in line with the Westmeath County Council Scheme of Priority. For more information & to apply for the scheme please visit our website, www.westmeathcoco.ie

The minimum purchase prices of the affordable homes in Gort an Locha range from €229,500 to €261,000, and income limits of between €63,056 and €71,606 apply to those availing of the scheme.

Fitzpatrick & Heavey Homes, a prominent Irish property developer, recently announced the commencement of construction on the project.
