Jack Gaudet performing on The Word Stage this afternoon.

Large Lakeside contingent performing at EP this weekend

Niall Horan and The Academic aren't the only Westmeath performers at Electric Picnic this weekend.

One again there will be a large lakeside contingent performing on The Word Stage, which has been curated by Mullingar's Marty Mulligan for over 15 years.

Young singer-songwriter Jack Gaudet from Mullingar kicks things off this afternoon (Friday) at 3pm with a set. Other local acts performing on the stage today include Bobby and Blunts.

Tomorrow, Marty's own group, Marty Mulligan and The Skamm will be taking to the stage at 9pm, while well known Mullingar rocker will be performing at 7pm, alongside Wexford hip-hop duo, The Ballyboyz.

On Sunday, Some One's Sons will be making their Electric Picnic debut at 5pm, while Ballinagore Niall Kelly and his bandmates in Ruaile Buaile are proceedings on The Word Stage to a close for another EP at 11pm.
