‘Carry a Teddy for Callum’ event raises over €16k for hospice care

The Ballycumber Mellas Ladies Club has managed to raise over €16,000 for Laura Lynn and Noah's Ark Children's Hospice following the 24 hour walk fundraiser 'Carry a Teddy for Callum.'

Members of the committee travelled to Dublin to visit the Laura Lynn Children's Hospice recently where they received a great welcome and were delighted to hand over a cheque for €8,430.

The Ballycumber Mellas Club organised the special fundraiser to honour the memory of baby Callum Corcoran. Callum, the beloved 11-month-old grandson of Marian and Seamus Corcoran, Leamonaghan, who tragically lost his battle with a rare cancer earlier this year.

The Corcoran family recently revisited Noah's Ark in London and presented them with a cheque in sterling of £7,044 which they were extremely grateful to receive.

The mission of LauraLynn Children's Hospice & Noah's Ark Children's Hospice is to provide comfort, care, and solace to families facing the challenges of serious illness and end of life care.

The Mellas Club's fundraiser will help ensure that these vital organisations can continue their invaluable work, extending a helping hand to those in need.

The club would like to thank all those who generously contributed to the fundraiser, helping to raise an incredible €16,854 for two worthy causes.
