Clonown NS takes part in Young Scientists Primary Science Fair

Clonown NS was one of the 55 primary schools from around the country who took part in the recent BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition Primary Science Fair at the RDS.

The project, completed by 18 students in the school, focused on hedgerows and their importance for biodiversity and agriculture.

The children's work was highly commended by the judges at this non-competitive event. The pupils had a brilliant day.

Overall some 1,300 primary school pupils took part in the fair.

The topics explored in the 75 projects focus on a diverse range including living things, environmental awareness and care, energy forces and the make-up of materials.
