Stolen car clocked doing 184km/h on N4 on Sunday

Local gardaí have appealed to the public for help after a stolen car was clocked doing 184km/h in a 100km/h zone on the N4 outside Mullingar on Sunday morning.

The driver failed to stop when prompted to and proceeded to drive against traffic, at which point gardai stood down in the interest of public safety.

Officers subsequently found out that the vehicle in question was stolen in Blanchardstown last Wednesday, February 21.

In a post on social media yesterday, gardaí asked the public to help them locate the driver and recover the stolen vehicle.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we would be grateful to anyone that witnessed this incident and has dash cam footage to get in touch with us at the station in Mullingar.”
