Meath have booked their place in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.

Robbie Brennan's Royals have edged out Galway by 2-16 to 2-15 at Croke Park.

A Conor Gray goal had Meath 1-12 to 0-9 up heading into the final quarter but Galway responded with goals from Liam Silke and Cillian McDaid.

The crucial score of the game came eight minutes from time with Jordan Morris scoring Meath's second goal, and he finished with 1-6.

Today's second quarter-final is just getting underway where reigning champions Armagh are up against Kerry.

Donegal and Tyrone are awaiting the semi-final draw following their wins yesterday.
