Firefighters tackle blaze at George's Dock in Dublin city centre

Firefighters are battling a large blaze at George's Dock in Dublin city centre.

Three fire engines and gardaí are present at the scene near the IFSC.

A Gas Networks Ireland crew is on site assisting fire services. It is not known at this stage if the cause of the fire is gas-related.

About 2,000 power outages have also been reported in the area.

Luas red line services are currently stopping at Connolly Station as emergency services deal with the blaze. Tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disturbance.

The public is being asked to avoid Harbourmaster Place until further notice.
