Man released without charge in Cork death probe

A man arrested by gardai investigating the death of another man in Cork city has been released without charge.
Shortly after 4.30am on Sunday, emergency services went to the Hollyville area of Hollyhill after reports of a disturbance involving two people.
A man in his 30s was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination has been completed, the results of which are not being disclosed for operational reasons.
A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, but was released on Monday.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, and garda investigations are continuing.
